Several issues relating to the security and adequacy of the current mailboxes have been raised by homeowners in the neighborhood. Reports of mail theft (at least two of which have resulted in documented identity theft) and problems with tampering of the locks or pranks resulting in the locking of boxes preventing delivery of mail have also been reported. We would like broader feedback from Winterwood Estates homeowners regarding this matter as well as to see if there is sufficient interest to warrant the purchase of new secure mailboxes.
